Kevin James McCarthy
Kevin James McCarthy, 68, died Saturday December 23rd 2017, at his home in Nashua NH after a brief battle with Cancer. He was born on July 10th 1949 in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late James and Margaret McCarthy.
He was the husband of Linda D'Alessandro McCarthy, married on June 23rd 1979 on the Bostonian II in Boston Harbor, Massachusetts.
He was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Coast Guard, serving on the USCGC Sherman from 1968 to 1972. He served as a Police Officer and EMT on Martha's Vineyard. He worked at Digital Equipment Corporation for over 10 years before retiring from Baker Commodities in Lowell Massachusetts in 2009. He earned his bachelor's degree at Nathaniel Hawthorne College.
In his younger years Kevin enjoyed pheasant hunting in Iowa, deer hunting in Vermont with his father-in-law, and in more recent years he enjoyed golfing and spending time with family up at the Pemigewasset River in Franklin, NH, and fishing with his son and grandson. He loved the New England Patriots, football Sundays, and watching the Pats win with family and friends.
Kevin was predeceased by his brothers Gary McCarthy Sr. and Brian McCarthy; Father-in law Nello D'Alessandro; Sister-in-law Carol Audette; and loyal Siberian Husky Nikita.
He is survived by his beloved wife Linda D'Alessandro McCarthy of 37 years; son Sean McCarthy and fiancé Nicole Doran of Hudson, NH; daughter Erin McCarthy and fiancé Joshua Feinberg of Manchester, NH; grandsons Evan Hayden and Riley James McCarthy; mother-in-law Nancy D'Alessandro of Tewksbury, MA; Sister and brother-in-law Deborah and David Shaw of Conway, SC; sister-in-law Denise McCarthy of Conway, SC; brother-in-law Mark D'Alessandro of Wilton, NH; brother-in-law Ron Audette of North Point, FL; and his nephews, nieces, and those dear to him whom he considered his other sons and daughters, his beloved companion and Grand-dog Ty Ty, and numerous friends and loved ones.

Memorial Service will be Saturday January 27th at 10:30 at The Cremation Society of New Hampshire 243 Hanover Street Manchester NH - luncheon to follow at The Puritan Backroom in Manchester NH
