Kevin C. Vancor

Kevin Charles Vancor, 66, died July 29, 2024 at The Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, N­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­H. He was born on October 4,1957 in Brattleboro, VT., the son of Kenneth Vancor and (Rose) Evelyn Vancor.

Kevin was well known, truly loved and sincerely missed by many people in Keene, including all of his support staff at Residential Resources, Sharon Cleary, Julie Oakes, Grace Monohan, Tiffany Doyon, Michael McClening, Taylor Wright, Pam Hall, and Micky Hansen. As well as his dear friends, Patty Sweeney and Carrie Johnson.  His support staff at New Hope New Horizons, Becky Lydon, Karen Starkey, Shay Croteau, Jamie Stetson, Maggie Dragon, Ginger Jackson, Michelle Kelly, June Blake, Marcia Richardson, Belinda Patnode, Bri Fleming, Laurie Meissner and Debbie Clark, and all of his peers and coworkers at Southwestern Community Services; as well as Mary-Anne Wisell and Heather Riley at MDS who have known him for years.  

Kevin was a regular at Cheshire Village Pizza, where he was part of Bo Bo and Cindy’s family. He frequented Dunkin Donuts on West St, as well as TD Bank on a daily basis. He loved to shop at Sun Foods (Hannafords) and Walmart in Keene. He loved to help people, whether it was changing someone’s calendar each month or helping them bring their groceries inside. 

He was predeceased by his parents and his long-time support staff, Douglas Austin, his close friend Patty Hinckley and many close friends at New Hope New Horizons, including Bill Marcello.

He is survived by Brothers Dale and his sister-in-law, Wanda, Wayne and Larry; his sister Mary; as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. 

Sharon Cleary and Kevin's family wish to thank the nursing staff, physicians and support staff at The Jack Byrne Center for their exceptional, caring support during Kevin's final journey. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a later date.
