Additionally adored all of her Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
Kim, as she was affectionately known, was a free spirit with the most loving heart. She poured love into everything she did. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and animals.
She attended Mount Anthony Union High School, and went on to attend Southern Vermont College where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English. In early years, she was a caregiver working in local nursing homes, but later followed her passion and became a dog and horse trainer. Kim opened her own business grooming dogs and made many four-legged friends throughout her life. Most recently she circled back to working in a nursing home as a server for the elderly, where she shared her smile, patience, and empathy to help enhance their quality of life. Kim also assisted in caring for her Aunt, Uncle, and Mother before their passing.
Kim met and quickly fell in love with Edward Doucette Jr, the love of her life, and gave birth to her daughter Jill Thomayer. After tragically losing him to a car accident, she married and gave birth to daughter Amanda Thomayer.
Kim’s greatest love was her family and friends, which included many fur babies. Over the years she had many horses, dogs, cats and rabbits. While she was cherished and loved by all of her animals, her current animals, Winnie, Mommy, Matilda (Tildy), and Punky will miss her most of all.
Kim was a woman of extraordinary beauty and spirit, inspiring others to live with passion and authenticity. She expressed herself through many artistic forms such as music, painting, and writing. She was an avid reader, and deep lover of plants and flowers. Kim found solace in the beauty of nature, most notably the ocean, which was her happy place.
