Landis A. Duke Delp Jr., 72, of Nottingham died peacefully at home on February 18, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Mr.. Delp was born on September 27, 1931 in Lancaster, PA the son of the late Landis A. and Alice (White) Delp Sr. While in Pennsylvania, Landis was a counselor and community member for the Boy Scouts. He was a U S Army veteran who served in the Korean War. Mr. Delp worked for Sears Roebuck & Company for 20 years in Dover and Newington. He was a former Captain of the Newmarket Militia and active in the 18th Dover Colonial Militia. Duke was a mason was also the first President of Emeritus of the Nottingham Historical Society. Mr. Delp raised and trained Siberian huskies for 25 years. Family members include; his wife of 40 years, Theresa (Ragno) Delp; one son, Landis A. Delp III and his wife, Kathy of Wells, Maine; one brother, William Delp of Colorado; and two nieces. Services will be held in the spring.
