Larry E. Sohre, 78, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on December 30, 1947 in Mankato, MN to Anton and Mildred (Behnke) Sohre.

He grew up on his family’s farm in St. Clair, MN, working along side his Dad before he joined the Air Force in 1967. After active service he became a civil service engineer for the Air Force and went on to serve 35 years working at Hanscom AF Base in Bedford, MA.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Deborah (Kellett) Sohre and they have resided for many years in Amherst, NH. Since retirement they have enjoyed traveling and especially many cruises together.

He was predeceased by his parents Anton and Mildred Sohre.

Larry is also survived by his daughter Amy and her husband Mark Romeo from O’Fallon, MO and three wonderful grandchildren, Caiden, Alex and Evangeline.He had three step children, Steven Mooney and his wife Julia, Jennifer Merrill and her husband Tim, Kerri Dutilly and her partner Shawn all whom loved & learned so much from Larry. Seven step-grandchildren who loved their Grandpa Larry: Kelly, Emily and Haleigh Mooney, Tyler and Lauren Merrill, Megan and Dylan Dutilly.

SERVICES: Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Larry will be interred at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
