Laura G. Jenness, 80, of Londonderry died January 11, 2006 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry following a period of declining health. Ms. Jenness was born on June 5, 1925 in Poultney, Vermont the daughter of Evan and Gwendolyn (Owens) Williams. She grew up and was educated in Vermont, graduating from Castleton State Teachers College in the late 1940s. After receiving her degree, Laura spent several years as a teacher where she worked in a single room schoolhouse in Vermont. She then retired from teaching to raise her children. She and her family moved to Londonderry in 1987. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother. Family members include; her son, Peter Jenness of Crosby, Texas; two daughters, Bonnie Santorsa of Londonderry with whom she resided for 20 years and Wendy Wimer of Sterling, VA; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Williams of New York and Nelson William of Long Island, NY; one sister, Ellen Roelofsen of Long Island, New York; and several nieces and nephews. IN HER LIFE: she leaves behind two sons-in-law, Frank Santorsa and Eric Wimer; a daughter-in-law, Arlene Jenness; her grandchildren, Laura, Joey, Tony, Grant, Bernie, Beth and Abby. There will be no calling hours. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
