LAURA (CRAWFORD) MULKIGIAN
LYMAN, NH -- Laura (Crawford) Mulkigian passed away at her home surrounded by her family on June 27th, 2017. She was born October 29th, 1962 in Providence, RI, daughter of Alden and Phyllis Crawford. Her family moved to Reading MA in 1965 where she spent her childhood.
After graduating from Reading Memorial High School, she attended Lyndon State College. There, she met her first husband, Steven Bromley at age 17. Throughout their 20's, they ran the Ammonoosuc Inn & Cobbler's Restaurant. This is also when they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Jillian and Molly. Although their marriage ended, Laura and Steve remained lifelong friends.
In 2002, Laura married Moe Mulkigian, father of Lauren, Kate and Benjamin. Together, they raised their 5 children and created a blended family filled with love and devotion. Laura and Moe were best friends and loved doing everything together. Their true love for each other was apparent to everyone who knew them.
Laura had her master's degree in education. She was a 1st grade teacher for many years at Lisbon Regional School. She was everything a student could wish for; devoted, insightful, loving, creative and smart. Later in her career she became the Reading Specialist where she was equally impactful teaching students the subject she was most passionate about. Laura was dearly loved by the students, their families and staff.
Laura was a generous host and enjoyed the company of friends and family. She was constantly putting together a dinner party, BBQ or holiday party. She was a selfless and compassionate soul and was always helping others. The North Country will surely feel her loss.
Throughout her own battle with cancer, she continued to care for her family and friends, especially her parents while her Mother was ill. She was a devout member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Littleton and was always volunteering her time. The list of ways that Laura made this world a better place and blessed those that were lucky enough to know her are really too numerous to name, but suffice it to say she was truly a person that epitomized God's love on earth.
Laura is survived by her husband Moe, her children Jillian and Molly Bromley, Lauren, Kate and Ben Mulkigian, her father Alden Crawford, her brother Matthew, her sister Kate and her husband Joe, their son Michael, as well as several cousins and dear friends.
