Laura M. Olsen

Laura M. Olsen (Moulton)age 92 passed away in Auburn, New Hampshire on January 19, 2003. She was a former resident of Medfield , Massachusetts and Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. She also spent many winters in Venice, Florida. She was born in Boston on September 12, 1910. She was educated in Boston schools, graduating from Jamaica Plain High School. She was a graduate of the Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing. During World War II she served in the Women's Defense Corps-Medical Division. A Registered Nurse, she worked for the State of Massachusetts, retiring from Medfield State Hospital. She was active in The Order of Eastern Star, Norwood and Dedham Chapters. She also belonged to The Daughters of the American Revolution and the White Shrine. Wife of the late John L.Olsen, Jr. she is survived by her daughters Judith MacInnes of Dedham , MA and Deborah Hedderig of Auburn, NH. She also leaves six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Allin Congregational Church, 683 High Street, Dedham Massachusetts on Saturday, February 1st at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to: The Shriner's Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114-2699.
