Lauren E. Parker, Jr., 79, of Rochester died November 29, 2003 at Wentworth Douglas Hospital following a period of declining health. Mr. Parker was born on February 23, 1924 in Wakefield, NH the son of the late Lauren E. and Evelyn F. (Morrill) Parker Sr. He was a US Army veteran who served in Asia and Hawaii during World War II. He spent most of his career working as a weaver at Brooks Woolen in Sanford, Maine. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing. Family members include; his wife of 56 years, Rita (Boucher) Parker; two sons, Robert S. Parker of New Durham, NH and Albert E. Parker of Milton, NH; three daughters, Ruth Brooks of Middleton, NH, Kathleen Payeur of Danville, VT and Lois E. Parker of New Durham, NH; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Philip Parker of Middleton, NH and Daniel Parker of Farmington, NH; three sisters, Irene Albert of Dover, NH, Elaine Jepsom of South Berwick, Maine, and June Twelves of CA; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker was predeceased by one brother, Stanley Parker. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the home of Lois Parker with a Memorial Service to follow at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery in Boscawen at 2:00 PM.
