Laurette M. Caldwell

Laurette Mariette (Fauteux) Caldwell, 78, of Haverhill, MA, passed away at the Oxford Rehabilitation Center on April 4, 2024. Born in Saint-Malo, Quebec, Canada on August 6, 1945, she was one of eight children to the late Edmour and Alice Fauteux.

Laurette was raised on a farm in Canada where she lived until she was sixteen and moved to Manchester, NH with her family. In her younger years, she worked as a waitress, caterer, bartender, and more. She loved helping others and spent many years working as a caregiver and home health aide. She enjoyed spending time at the beaches of Gloucester where she lived for a couple of years before moving to Peabody on the Northshore of Massachusetts where she finished raising her own family. She loved the ocean where she spent several years living on a boat in Beverly and Lynn, MA. She was a very sociable and friendly person who enjoyed dancing in her spare time and going for long scenic walks.

Laurette is survived by her two daughters, Denise Caldwell and Therese Geggatt and her husband Philip Geggatt Jr. and their children Angela, Caitlyn, Nicole, Joshua and several grandchildren; her 5 brothers: Aldei Fauteux and wife Irene, Jerome Fauteux and late wife Nancy, Sylvio Fauteux and wife Jeanne-d’Arc, Jean-Guy Fauteux and wife Pauline, Rosaire Fauteux and wife Diane; her 2 sisters: Gisele Maurais and late husband Raymond, and Suzanne Prince as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Laurette’s life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 with a gathering from 6PM-7PM and a memorial service at 7PM at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
