It is with the heaviest of hearts we share that on June 9, 2025 at the age of 62, Lawrence "Larry" M. DeLacy passed away unexpectedly. He will be immensely missed by his loving wife and best friend Jennifer DeLacy; his daughters, Kathryn (DeLacy) Treadwell and Erin DeLacy; their spouses Aaron Treadwell and Jason Taylor; and his two beloved grandchildren, Brayden and Charlotte Treadwell. Larry was known for his contagious laughter, his compassionate nature for others, and his true heart of gold.
Larry was born September 24, 1962 to Albert O. DeLacy Jr. and Catherine (Harrington) DeLacy in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After the passing of his mother he was adopted by Thomas R. Dolan and Mary T. (Harrington) Dolan. He was a devoted brother to Albert O. DeLacy III, Richard J. DeLacy, M. Joseph DeLacy, Paul Dolan and Jacquelyn (Dolan) Santini.
Larry was an honorable man who took pride in serving as a military police officer in the United States Air Force. In 2001, after 20 years, he retired and with his acquired skills transitioned into his career in security with the New Boston Air Force Tracking Station, he then went on to work for the Department of Defense at the Air Space Command.
Larry, his wife and two daughters moved to Hillsboro, NH in 2004 and he has been a pillar in the community ever since. Among the various things he did for the community, coaching his daughters and grandsons various sports teams, and serving as a Deacon at Smith Memorial Congregational Church were most special to him. Above all Larry was a family man first, devoting his time to glamping in the camper at Cascades, hitting the tee box on the golf course, tractor rides with the grandkids, various Shaws runs, ice creams dates and just lounging on the couch watching a good movie with his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
A service for family, friends and community will be held at 1pm on Thursday, June 19th at the Smith Memorial Congregational Church located at 30 West Main Street Hillsboro, NH 03244. A private burial will take place at a later date for family at the Boscawen Veterans Cemetery.
