Lawrence J Devine, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Lawrence Devine Sr and Katherine Devine. He is predeceased by his siblings: Paul Devine, John Devine, and Patricia Devine.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pamela, and their two children, Heather Devine, and Justin Devine as well as Laura Lauda and Michael Devine from a previous marriage.
Larry’s career started as a graphic artist where he worked for the Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA). He moved on to other companies such as Allyn & Bacon in Boston where he was the art director in book publishing. Larry also worked for Digital Corporation and MITRE.
Larry grew up in Brighton with his parents and siblings. He attended Boston public schools and joined the Air Force for four years. He returned to school later in life and graduated from Boston University.
Larry held a broad range of interests and particularly enjoyed painting in various mediums. He was a talented artist and shared his work with family and friends. He had a love of the outdoors: hiking, camping, and skiing. He enjoyed participating in the local Harley-Davidson group and going on their many excursions.
Most of all, Larry loved his family and friends and was dearly loved in return. His presence will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his children, their spouses, as well as nieces, nephews, and grandchildren: Margaret, Kristin, Madison, Hayley, Derek, Lydia, Clara, Amelia and a great grandchild, Ryan.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
