Lawrence ''Larry'' F. Leonard, 74, of 78 Tampa Street in Nashua died suddenly on December 29, 2001 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Mr. Leonard was born on August 17, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Schnepf) Leonard. He was a United States Army Veteran who served during both WW II and the Korean War. He graduated from the Army Signal School and the St. Louis Medical Depot Medical Maintenance Course in Kentucky. He then became an instructor of electronics for the US Army. After retirement from the Army he earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama. Mr. Leonard previously worked as an engineer for Raytheon in Burlington, MA and later as an engineering consultant for the Dept. of Defense. He was an avid reader, photographer and ham radio operator. He was also a member of Mensa. Family members include; his wife of 46 years, Marguerite (Travers) Leonard; a son, Matthew Leonard and his wife, Michele of Merrimack; a daughter, Peggy Small and her fiancé, David Severini of Amherst; a granddaughter, Alexis Small; and a sister, Dorothy Griffith of Baltimore, Maryland.
