Lawrence E. "Larry" Wolfe

Larry Wolfe of Concord, NH, passed away peacefully with loved ones at his side on Thursday, September 8th.

Larry was a beloved light in the lives of his family and the many elementary school students he taught in East Concord for over 30 years.

Known for his unique and creative teaching style, his “Wolfepack Village”, and his ability to turn any subject or event into a singable song, Larry made learning a fun and joyful experience for his students.

“Poppy”, as he was known to his grandchildren, was deeply devoted to and cherished by his family.  His kind ways, genuine interest in others, ready smile, selfless service, and sense of humor endeared him to all.

His love for God and the teachings of Jesus led him to serve his church (First Church of Christ, Scientist) faithfully in many ways over many years.

Larry was predeceased by his son, Jesse.  He is survived by his beloved wife Susan;  his son Micah and wife Haley of Oklahoma; his son Collin and wife Anna of Utah; his daughter Rebecca and husband Tyler Bonin of Concord; and his 7 grandchildren:  Bella, Anthony, Raegan, Violet, Henry, Hadley and Nova Wolfe.

The family has established a scholarship in Larry’s memory to be offered to a graduating student of Concord High School who plans to major in education.  Contributions to this fund may be made by sending a check payable to “Larry Wolfe Memorial Scholarship Fund” to  Bank of NH, 167 N. Main St., Concord, NH 03301 or Venmo @LarryWolfeMSF.

At Larry’s request, there will be no public memorial service.  Those who wish to may leave memories or comments for the family at the Facebook page titled: In Memory of Larry Wolfe.
