Leo (Roger) Lamontagne, also lovingly called "Pop Pop", 83 of Derry NH, formally of Pelham, NH passed away January 12, 2021 at the home of his partner, Barbara Sharpe of Salem, NH, surrounded by his loving family.
Born February 27, 1937, He was the son of the late Lillian (Lacroix) Wilson of Lawrence, MA and brother of the late Raymond Lamontagne of Methuen, MA.
Leo worked for many years as an optical technician at Merrimack Optical in Pelham and Speclite Optical in Plaistow. After retirement he worked at Hillside Estates in Derry where he also resided for many years.
Leo was tough, strong, and had a genuine heart of gold. He was always the first to offer his help to anyone in need. He loved animals, Hampton beach, and gathering with friends at Beaver Lake and Dunkin' Donuts. Above all, Leo loved his ever growing family and the time he spent with them.
In addition to Barbara, the love of his life, he is survived by three sons, Gary and his wife Pamela of Chester, NH, David and his wife Pattie of Pelham, NH, and Steven and his wife Lisa of Rainelle, WV, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
To honor Leo's wishes, there will be no public services. A celebration of life will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions in his name can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England or the SPCA of NH.
