Leo F. L'Heureux, Jr., 90, of Weare, NH died October 15, 2016 at the Manchester VA Hospital.
Leo was born in Weare on April 2, 1926 to Leo F. Sr. and Doris (Lufkin) Blake. He enlisted in the US Army during WWII and served in Germany, for which he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Philbrick Clement Post 65. Leo had a long career as a mechanic having worked at South Weare Garage and Grappone Ford, eventually retiring from Patsy's GMC & Kenworth.
In addition to his parents, Leo was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Thelma (Hoyt) and his grandson, Paul Cota, Jr. Leo leaves behind his four children Dennis (Vicki) of Northfield, NH, Donald (Clair) of Garner, NC, Lee (Pamela) of Weare, NH and Sally Oxford (Rick) of NH; twelve grandchildren Melanie, Justin, Eric, Skie, Melissa, Brandon, Cinnamon, Ginger, Heather, Cameron, Patrick and Samantha; and nine great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather and pay their respects on Wednesday, October 26th 1:30-2:30pm at the Cremation Society if NH, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Interment with military honors will follow at 3:00pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen.
