Leo Paul Marcotte

Leo P. Marcotte of Nashua passed away suddenly December 22nd, 2021. Mr. Marcotte was born in Derry July 30th, 1962, the son of the late Eugene and Marie Marcotte. Leo, a New Hampshire resident all of his life, was active in the community as a volunteer through his former affiliation Nashua Center. For many years Mr. Marcotte faithfully assisted at both the Fish Hatchery and the local soup kitchen. His dependability and commitment to service were appreciated by both.

A former resident of Laconia State School, Mr. Marcotte relished the opportunity to contribute and to enjoy opportunities such as traveling to New York City, visiting the coast, museums and trying new hobbies. Never a fan of cold weather, Mr. Marcotte also had the chance to enjoy several winters in Florida with his friend, Lina and her family. Most recently, Mr. Marcotte was associated with the Kimi Nichols Center in Plaistow where he was able to reconnect with old friends. He had looked forward to the end of the pandemic when he could begin volunteering again.

A good friend, he will be missed by all who knew him, particularly his dear friend and roommate Sanjay Bhatta and longtime friend Jim Foppiano. The dedicated support and friendship of Jim, Sanjay and Lina, were hallmarks of Leo's life. He leaves his family in Tennessee and dear friends here in New England, all of whom will hold him in their hearts.

If inclined, donations in his memory can be made to the Kimi Nichols Center - 17 East Rd, Plaistow N.H. 03865. The agency provides innovative and progressive supports to people with disabilities.

A gathering for family and friends will take place at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester on Thursday January 6, 2022 from 11:45 to 12:15 with a memorial service in the Cremation Society chapel at 12:15.
