Leonard A. Gallant

Leonard A. Gallant of Chester, NH died at home on June 23, 2025 at the age of 89 years. He was born in Lawrence, MA to Henry and Adele Gallant.

Lenny served in the US Navy as an aviation electronics technician and was very proud of his service to his country. You would often see him proudly wearing his Navy hat and telling stories about his service experiences. When discharged from the Navy, he worked as a carpenter for several years before earning his business accounting degree.

He enjoyed fishing and woodworking, and was always willing to use his carpentry skills to help friends and family with home projects. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Transfiguration in Derry, NH.

Lenny was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Gallant; his parents; brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Furlong of Manchester, NH and his family including Mary FitzPatrick and others; Barry Gallant of Manchester, NH; daughter Karin and her husband Brian Hovey of Manchester, NH; granddaughters Crystal Rumfelt, Leandra Rumfelt, and Felicia LeBrun; great grandchildren Lexi, Brooke, James, Layla, and Jace; brother Raymond Gallant; and nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Lenny on Saturday, June 28th from 12pm to 4pm at his home. Lenny will be interred at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 9am. If you plan to attend, please arrive there promptly by 8:45am.
