Leonard George Pacine, age 86, died Sunday evening, August 28th, in Amherst, NH surrounded by loved ones. Leonard was born in 1930 in New Philadelphia, PA, son to the late George Pacine and Helen Lutkus.
A loving spouse and father, Leonard went on to join his wife of 46 years Joan Frazier Pacine; who predeceased him on March 25, 2009. He is survived by his daughter Suzanne McGratty of Morristown, NJ and son John Pacine of S. Dartmouth, MA;married to Heather Morrison. Leonard was the brother of the late Eleanor Stenulis, and brother in law to the late George Stenulis, Karen Brown of Florida, Jacqueline Barklage of Florida, and the late Nancy Mauldin North Carolina.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Shannon, Alison, Maeghan (Mae), and Nicholas, as well as his nieces and nephews Louise Henning, George Stenulis, John Stenulis, and Thomas Stenulis.
Leonard served in the US Navy during the Korean war, and went on to graduate in 1960 from Penn State University with a Masters of Science in Psychology. He practiced Human Factors and Systems Engineering at Mitre, Corporation and American Institutes for Research for the duration of his career.
Services for Leonard and internment of both Leonard and Joan at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA will be conducted in November. (Cape Cod, MA). Details to follow.
