Lester W. Gould
Lester W. Gould, 85, of Loudon, NH passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 following a period of declining health.
Lester was born in Hillsboro, NH on September 19, 1930 to Judson and Gladys (Colburn) Gould. He worked as a machine operator with Pitco Frialator until he retired after 25 years of service.
Lester loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing or hunting or doing any number of other things, he was always just happy to be outside. He also enjoyed candlepin bowling and was a league member at Boutwell's Bowling Center in Concord, NH. He was a laid back, easygoing man who adored his family and was kind to everyone he met.
Lester is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Applegate) Gould; his sons, Robert Gould and wife, Cindy of Suncook, NH, Keith Gould of Pembroke, NH; his daughters, Joellyn (Gould) Pelletier and husband, Rosaire of Suncook, NH, Penny (Gould) Drew and husband, Brian of Concord, NH, and Hazel Gould and her fiancé Jim Young of Sparta TN; brothers, Dwight Gould of Hillsboro, NH, Joseph Gould, of Hillsboro, NH, Pat Gould and his partner Mary Katz of Hillsoboro, NH, Ernest Gould of Hillsboro, NH and Richard Gould and wife Dolores of Mitchell, SD; sisters, Beatrice Nyberg and husband, Bill of Franklin, NH, Edith Austin and husband, Carl Loudon, NH and Grace Hackett of Winthrop, ME; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lester was predeceased in April 2015 by his son, Michael Gould. Michael was survived by his partner, Maria Gould. Lester was also predeceased by 2 brothers Cliffton Hackett of Norwalk, CT and Everett Hackett of Bristol, NH
Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, March 26th 1:00pm-3:00pm at the Cremation Society of NH. A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm in the Cremation Society chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lester's memory may be made to CRVNA Hospice House The Slusser Center, Development Office, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301 or online at www.crvna.org.
