Letha B. Tweedie, 87, of 1251 White Mountain Highway, North Conway died March 3, 2001 at Sunbridge Health Care in North Conway after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Tweedie was born on August 24, 1913 in Blaine, Maine the daughter of the late Clarence and Bernice (Corey) Faulkner. She was married to Andrew N. Tweedie for 55 years until his death in 1986. She moved to Aroostook County to St. Albans, Maine in 1945. She raised her family of seven children while working a dairy farm with her husband. She was also employed by Irving Tanning Company of Hartland, Maine for many years. She then moved to Glastonbury, CT in 1963 with their four children and moved back to Maine in 1969 where they lived in th St. Albans and Canaan area. They finally returned to Aroostook County (Mars Hill) in 1985. Family members include; two sons, Peter (Lauren) Tweedie of Brownfield, ME and Ronald (Kristine) Tweedie of E. Hampton, CT; two daughters, Donna (Howard) Wilson of Vasselboro, ME and Susanne (Newell) Boutwell of Windsor Locks, CT; 24 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorie Workman of Robinson, ME, Margerie Brewer of Bridgewater, ME and Donna Smith of Mars Hills, ME; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three children, Jacqueline in 1968, Gary in 1971 and William in 1983; three grandsons; one great granddaughter two brothers Robert Faulkner and Clarence Faulkner; and two sisters, Marguerite Turner and Winifred Brown. Graveside service is scheduled for July 3, 2001 at Westfield Cemetery in Westfield, ME.
