Lillian (Fogarty) Edelmann, 89, passed away on June 27 after a period of declining health.
"Big Lil" was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved her family from Long Island to Twin Mountain in 1969. Her service included town and parish boards, as volunteer EMT, on the school board, as library trustee, as Eucharistic minister, and as President of the NH Library Trustees Association for many years. She loved her family and her country, and her passion and strength of spirit will be missed.
Lil was predeceased by her husband Frank, eldest son Frank Jr., granddaughter Meghan and three brothers. Lil is survived by her children â Lillian Renaud, Meryl Pinkham, Thomas Edelmann, Mary O'Brien, Kathleen Ricardi, Laurette Edelmann and Patricia Turchon â their mates, many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, her baby brother James Fogarty, her sisters-in-law Dorothy, Bobby and Reba, many nieces and nephews and many "adopted" family members throughout the country.
Services: A funeral mass will be held on July 9, 11 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 180 Loudon Road, Concord, NH. Private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NH Library Trustees Association, 25 Triangle Park Drive, Concord, NH 03301.
