Linda Irene Amos

Linda Irene Amos, of Webster, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2024, at the age of 76. Linda was born on April 15, 1947, in Paterson, New Jersey to parents William A. Vander Wall of Paterson, NJ. And Thelma (Merton) Vander Wall of Wales, GB and resided in New Hampshire since 1985.

Linda was a faithful and devoted wife to her beloved husband, Larry Amos, and a loving mother to her son, Stephen Amos. She was also a cherished sister to her brother, William Vander Wall, and her sister, Susan Filipovsky.

Linda was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Linda was as kind a soul as you would ever meet and her life overflowed with thoughts, words and deeds that impacted the lives of many people. She always had a smile and could be counted on to lend a helping hand and offer words of encouragement.

Linda was a woman of strong Christian faith and despite battling cancer for 17 years placed her trust in God's hands. Her life was a living demonstration of her faith not only in word but good deeds. She was as good a wife, mother, sister and friend as anyone could hope for.  Her kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of those around her.

Linda was an immensely gifted and versatile vocalist who studied under operatic coach Donald Gage of Broadway in Montclair, NJ. She performed at The Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts among other venues and was a member of the Concord Chorale. She sang in operatic roles and in off Broadways plays as well as performing in many recitals, concerts, and weddings. She also was a member of Mac Arthur Park band and Split Image Band performing popular music as well.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church located at 1011 Long Street in Webster followed by a reception at the town hall of Webster.

Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Linda are invited to attend and join in celebrating her life.

In honor of Linda's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a church or cancer research organization of your choice. Linda's legacy of strength and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Linda Irene Amos is now departed from us but is with her Lord in eternal peace, she has fought the good fight, finished her course, kept the faith, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she loved. Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
