Linda Jean Hurd

Linda Jean Hurd, 73, of Vernon Vt. Passed away on July 3, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She was born in Newport Vt. On April 11, 1948. The daughter of Arthur and Juliette (Morris) Monahan. She was a 1968 graduate of Stratford High School in. No. Stratford, NH.

She worked as a splicer for Fulflex of Vt. In Brattleboro, Vt.

She enjoyed all types of music and enjoyed dancing as well. She LOVED her Chinese food dates with her good friend Karen Kaiser, also liked her poker games. But most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a very huge heart and enjoyed helping people out when possible.

The family includes her son Jonathan Hurd and wife Kerry of Sharon, Vt, Jennifer Willette and Husband David of Guild, NH, Jeremy Hurd and partner Dezerae Currier of Wilder, Vt, and son Matt Chaffee and wife Audrey of New Bern, NC. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with one on the way. And a sister, Maureen Monahan and husband Kerry Cretelle of Hinsdale, NH. She also leaves behind two of her very best friends Lynn and Fred Sage of Vernon, Vt.

She was predeceased by both parents, two brothers and one sister.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held Saturday July 10th from 1-5 pm with a remembrance at 2 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Chickering Drive in Brattleboro, Vt.

Burial will be at a later date in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Bloomfield, Vt.

The family suggests that donations in Linda's memory be made to the Oncology Dept. in the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
