Linda Luntsford

Linda Luntsford-Gridley died peacefully in her sleep on April 1, 2024. Linda was surrounded by the love of her husband, Bob Gridley and their 3 cats. Bob played “You Are My Sunshine” later for Linda and her grandpa, his favorite song.

Linda was born in Anderson, Indiana, on October 8, 1954. She graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1972. She then attended Ball State University where she earned her BA in print technology on both the East and West coasts.

She married her love, Bob Gridley, on June 25, 2005. They enjoyed a Buddhist wedding promising meditation and spiritual labor. The couple did so on the course of their lives together. Linda and Bob explored the country at length as well as Canada. They played Celtic fiddle in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Both enjoyed rich experiences as they shared their stories with others and they were always enriched by those they met.

Linda was a Master Gardener. She took great love in her garden and feeding the local birds. Linda would not feel complete without the love of her many cats.

Most recently, Linda invited a group of students to build a tiny house of her own design for zen meditation and tai chi. This will be her final resting place. She will remain forever in our thoughts and be seen on every moonrise over the Bristol cliffs.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Luntsford, who died in 2005. She leaves behind a family who loves her including her husband, Bob Gridley; mother, Joan Luntsford of Anderson, IN; brother, Larry Luntsford of Bellflower, CA, and her sister, Janet Luntsford (and family) of PA.

Linda left in peace and wishing harmony to all who have met her.
