Lisa M. Davis

Lisa Marie Davis, age 42, of Gorham passed away at home on Sunday, December 30th surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Lisa was born on August 23, 1970 to Harry Davis and Irene (Hawkins) Davis in Laconia. Lisa most recently fulfilled her life goal of completing her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education, and had spent a number of years working for the Berlin School District as a Paraprofessional; a job she greatly loved and enjoyed.

Lisa lived her entire life within the Berlin and Gorham communities and developed many lifelong friendships in the area. One of her greatest loves was spending her time playing horseshoes and her greatest accomplishment of this was winning the 2008 Thursday Night Women's Horseshoe League's 1st Place Tournament with partner Shirley Bertin. Fond memories of these nights are the constant laughter she provided by the good natured harassment she generously provided her teammate and opponents.

Lisa was a person who touched lives with an impact that lasted through the years so vividly that it is impossible to forget the warmth of her smile, the care in her voice and her genuine joy in living. The memories that will continue to live on are her sweet smile, general happiness and joy of life and her continued desire to help others and she will forever be remembered by her family and friends.

Lisa is survived by her son Timothy Bureau and his fiancée Bryttnie Lockley, both of Gorham, New Hampshire, her brother Randy Davis, his wife Casie Davis and their children Jasmine and Dylan of Dummer, NH, Travis David and Mary Morin, of Berlin, NH, brother Frank Edmondson of Gorham, NH, sister Sally Edmondson of Gorham, NH, aunts and uncles Wanita and Peter Cass of West Palm Beach, FL, Mert Jr. and Sue Hawkins of Laconia NH, her cousin Noel Davis of Bristol, NH and close family friends Melody Brochu, and Paul, Andrea and Austin Gagne, all of Gorham, NH. She is predeceased by her mother Irene (Hawkins) Davis and Harry Davis, both of Gorham, New Hampshire.

No arrangements are planned, in honor of Lisa's wishes. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be sent to the Weeks Medical Center Auxiliary at 173 Middle St, Lancaster, NH 03584. Through generous donations Lisa's memory will continue to help others in need in the local community. Lisa's smile will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
