Lloyd "Bruce" Elliott, 75, a lifetime resident Hooksett, NH died peacefully on October 2,2023 at the Elliot Hospital after a period of declining Health.
Born on October 5, 1947, in Manchester, NH. He was the son of Lloyd and Marion (Pollard) Elliott. A graduate of Manchester Central High School class of 1965. He was a member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard and served in the Vietnam War.
Bruce worked many years at Gem Evergreen Company in Hooksett and later started his own landscaping business Bruce Elliott Landscape Designs.
An avid hiker, Bruce hiked all of New Hampshire’s 4,000-foot mountains, many of them multiple times. He was a troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 292 out of Hooksett for many years. This allowed him to share his love for the outdoors. In retirement he enjoyed spending time at his camp in Elliottsville, Maine, hiking Mount Katahdin and areas around Onawa Lake and Moosehead Lake. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and younger brother, John Elliott.
Bruce leaves behind his wife, Pauline (MacEachern) Elliott of 56 years; 3 sons and a daughter, Jeff Elliott and wife Susan of Florida, Scott Elliott and wife Jeannette Valliere of Hooksett, Tabitha Neveu and husband Bob of Hooksett and Shaun Elliott and wife Liz of Hooksett; 12 grandchildren, Dylan and wife Emily, Daniel, Cheyenne, Hunter and fiancé Morganne, Raeanne, Bryce, Taylor, Tyler, Payden, Ricky, Nathan and Christian; two, soon to be three, great-grandsons, Theodore, Owen and Baby; and, his sister, Ruth Ann Dugan of Alabama.
ARRANGEMENTS: Per Bruce’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A private ceremony will take place at a later date to spread his ashes at his favorite places. Not a day will go by that he will not be missed.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to the Disabled Veterans of New Hampshire.
