Lloyd Alan McKissick, Jr., 90, died on December 26, 2016 in Hackett Hill Healthcare Center following a period of failing health.
He was born in Polk, Pennsylvania on January 4, 1926, the son of Lloyd Alan McKissick, Sr. and Sara Davis McKissick.
Serving in the Army Air Corps during World War II, he would later pursue a life-long career as a commercial pilot.
He was married on June 10, 1950 to Muriel Hazel Gunderman, and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2012.
He is survived by two sons: Lloyd Alan McKissick III, wife Ann, of Parker, Colorado, and Hugh Douglas McKissick of Candia, New Hampshire, and three grandchildren, Jennifer Prahl, Sara McKissick, and Liam McKissick.
He is also survived by two brothers, Paul McKissick, wife Sally of Cranberry, Pennsylvania, and John McKissick, wife Elaine, of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania/Cocoa Beach, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Huff Funeral Home. Interment will be at Old Sandy Cemetery, Polk, Pennsylvania.
