Lodie C. Darmstadt

Lodie C. Darmstadt, 86, of 32 Springbrook Park, Newport, NH died on July 2, 2000 at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, MA. Mrs. Darmstadt was born on October 25, 1913 in Rogersville, New Brunswick, Canada, the oldest daughter of the late Philias J. and Marie Rose (Cormier) Caissie. She graduated from Monson Academy in Monson, Maine and Long Island College Hospital, School of Nursing at Brooklyn in New York. She served as a Red Cross Nurse at Blood Bank in Brooklyn, NY during World War II. She is the widow of Howell R. Etheridge of Haysville, NC. Family members include her husband, Fred H. Darmstadt; two brothers, Norris A. Casey of Antioch, CA and E. Otis Casey of Dover Plains, NY; five sisters, Dora C. Sheldon of Sidney, Maine, Norma Jamros of Cheshire, MA, Hazel St. Hillaire of Florida, Emily Barnett of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Leah Tracy of Cheshire, MA; ten nephews, twelve nieces. She is predeceased by one brother, Regis J. Casey. Inurnment will be at a later date in Cornville, Maine.
