Lois Loi Tackella Hunter, 79 of Bedford, NH, died on Friday, May 25, 2007. Loi was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Matthew and Agusta (Banzer) Tackella, and grew up in Tenafly, NJ. She graduated from Kendall Hall School for Girls in Peterborough and went on to earn a degree at Lasell College in Massachusetts. Loi valued service to her community. She acted as president of the Bedford Garden Club for a year, volunteered at the McKelvie School library and taught Sunday School for many years. Loi was a member of the Bedford Womens Club, the Bedford Garden Club, the Bedford Public Library Book Group and the Bedford Presbyterian Church Bridge Club. She was the office manager at H6 Systems and an instructors helper in the Dorothy Carnegie course. Her bright and adventurous character led her to skiing, investing in the stock market and earning her motorcycle operators license. Loi eventually retired to Summers at Horace Lake in Weare. Her family will remember her most for her main interest as a loving wife and mother of four. IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her husband, William T. Hunter, her son Thad and his wife Lisa, her grandchildren Matthew and Nathan, her daughter Jill and husband Raymond Smoyer, her daughter Jody and husband Joseph Herbert, and her son Michael and his wife Karen and grandsons Devin and Lee. In lieu of flowers, please pray for the peace of mind of the family and in praise of Gods goodness in which Loi took so much joy. SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 14th from 4:30 to 8:00 PM at the Hunter homestead on 157 New Boston Road in Bedford.
