Lois Gayle Lord, of Warner passed on from her earthly body on March 30, 2018 after living with cancer for several years.
Lois was born in Ary, Kentucky on April 7, 1959 and lived there until she was 12 when her family returned to their native New England. She lived in Massachusetts before moving to New Hampshire in 1983.
Lois most recently worked for the town of Warner in the Land Use Office, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Prior to working for the town she worked at the New Hampshire Association for the Blind in Concord. She had many dog loves throughout her life, enjoyed her gardens, hiking, spiritual retreats with her sister, cooking, picking and singing folk music especially John Prine, restoring the old farmhouse, and spending time with those she loved.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Jonathan; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn; dearest sister and friend, Robin Goodwin; older brothers, David and Danny Beckwith; nieces; a nephew and many grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Beckwith; mother, Ada Beckwith; and sisters; Darlene and Diane Beckwith.
In honor of her memory Lois asks that we all take a moment of gratitude for this sweet life we are given. There will be a private service. Interment will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at a later date. Cremation arrangements are with the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, www.csnh.com.
