Lois S. Macadam

Lois S. MacAdam, 86, of Francestown died on October 12, 2000 at Monadnock Communituy Hospital after a period of failing health. Mrs. MacAdam was born on October 19, 1913 in Croton-on-Hudson, NY the daughter of the late F. William and Ethel (Baker) Schnell. Lois was active in the town of Francestown and was a member of the Village Improvement Society and Community Church Guild. She was an avid tennis player and teacher of tennis. She worked alongside her husband for many years. They were both major participants in the operations of the Crotched Mountain Ski Area and she later assisted him by doing field work of his surveying business. Family members include; two sons, R. Bruce MacAdam of Hartford, VT and F. W. C. MacAdam of Francestown, NH; one daughter, Ethel B. MacStubbs of Francestown, NH; five grandchildren; one sister, Barbara S. Ziegler of Morrisville, VT; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband F. William Schnell in 1989. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2000 at Francestown Community Church. In lieu of flowers and per the request of Mrs. MacAdam, donations may be made towards the replacement of t he number three cemetery fence of the Francestown Cemetery, c/o Francestown Cemetery Trustees, Francestown, NH 03043.
