Lon E. Masingill, 73, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Nashua, NH died Sunday July 20, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack following a courageous battle against cancer.

Born on September 4, 1940 in Dyess, AR, he was the son of the late Leonidas and Virginia (Liggett) Masingill. He was the loving husband of Joanne (Testa), to whom he was married for 34 years. He grew up in Memphis, TN, attending Central High School and Memphis State. He resided in NJ for 20 years, moving to NH in 1989.

He had a long, successful career as an executive in the high tech and pharmaceutical industries, and was currently a partner of Ironmen LLC, Jacksonville, FL. Lon was an entrepreneur who enjoyed traveling, reading, good wine, golf, and watching soccer.

Surviving family members are his wife, Joanne; sons Jamey (and Staci), Jeff (and Beth), Greg (and Cindy), and Matt (and Danique); his grandchildren Scot, Megan, Grant, and Ryan; his sisters Myra West (late Bob) and Karen (and Hugh) Connell; and Uncle Jean Masingill; and nieces and nephews.

His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday July 24th at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 214 Main St., Nashua. Everyone is asked to meet at church. Donations in Lon's name can be made to the Ephraim Hochberg Lymphoma Research Foundation at MGH/Yawkey 9852, 55 Fruit Street, Boston, MA 02114 or Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.

A Memorial Service will also be held in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in the Fall.
