Loretta O'Geary

Loretta Walsh-Thompson-O’Geary died suddenly Wednesday, February 2, 2022.  She was born on April 19, 1960 and spent most of her early life in Waltham, MA. Loretta graduated from Waltham High School in 1978 and went on to study Early Childhood Education, eventually settling down in Franklinville, NC.

Loretta spent many years as a mother, teacher, caregiver and advocate for her clients. She loved her work and helped many people throughout her career. She had an enjoyment of life that uplifted those around her. She was a bright spirit and will be deeply missed by her many family members, friends and clients.

She leaves behind her two sons, whom she adored, Steven Thompson Jr, his wife Ashley, grandchildren Annie and Jack, Joseph Thompson and wife Megan, her beloved wife, Cathy O’Geary and stepdaughter Ashley. She is also survived by her siblings, William R Walsh, Jr and wife Renee, Leslie C. Rogers and husband Paul. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Loretta on Saturday, May 7, at the VFW Post 2597, Boston Road, Billerica, MA from 12:30 to 5:00. We hope you can join us as we celebrate and share the many wonderful memories that she has left us with. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Hampton.
