Lorraine DesRosiers Morin

Lorraine DesRosiers Morin, 93 years old, passed away surrounded by family on October 12, 2018, at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (RCRNC), Brentwood, NH. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lorraine spent much of her life in the Lakes Region area as well as her retirement years in Florida. Two years ago, she returned to New Hampshire and lived at All American Assisted Living at Londonderry until this past March when she took up residence at RCRNC.

Lorraine met and married the love of her life Robert A. Morin in Laconia, NH. He predeceased her in 2002. Together, they raised 5 children, Angelisa Embree (Kenneth), Rebecca Moccia (Salvatore), Patricia Piecuch (John), Laurianne Biron (Maurice) and Robert A. Morin, Jr. (Bonnie). Always young at heart, Lorraine also loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as with her nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was formerly employed by the Lakeport National Bank, Lakeport, NH and by the State of NH in Concord, NH.

During her spare time, she volunteered at her church and for organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and the Catholic Daughters of America. She also pursued interests in interior design, flower gardening, reading, and travel to Acapulco, Europe and the East and West coasts. Having grown up on Lake Winnipesaukee, Lorraine loved boating on the crystal clear waters of the Big Lake or walking daily on the hard sands of Daytona Beach. During her later years, she took great pleasure in going for car rides.

She is predeceased by her parents, Dolphus and Dora (Boucher) DesRosiers, two brothers, Dolphus DesRosiers and Carlton DesRosiers, and two sisters, Estelle Johnson and Shirley Ledgard. She is also predeceased by all her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on November 3, 2018, at St. Anne Parish, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH. A private interment at St Lambert's Cemetery, Laconia, NH, will be held on a later date.

Lorraine's family wishes to thank the staff at All-American Assisted Living at Londonderry and at the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their skilled and loving care of her.
