Lorraine M. Murphy

Lorraine M. Murphy, 75, of Salem, NH died on July 24, 2002 at Academy Manor in Andover, MA after a bout with cancer. Mrs. Murphy was born on February 10, 1927 in Beverly, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Michael and Olida (Vadeboncoeur) Maloof. She worked as a clerk for New England Telephone in Saugus, MA from 1969 until 1984. Her hobbies included crocheting and reading. Family members include; one daughter, Mrs. James (Margaret ''Peggy'') Landry of Salem, NH; three sons, John F. Murphy of Raymond, Robert J. Murphy and William J. Murphy both of Salem, NH; nine grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred ''Mike'' Maloof of Haverhill, MA; two sisters, Elizabeth Picillo of Danvers, MA and Rena Thomas of Beverly, MA; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Hobbs of Merritt Island, Florida; ten nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis B. Murphy who died in 1987. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann Murphy and by a brother, Joseph Maloof. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 5th at 10:30 AM at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 200 Lawrence Road, Salem, NH. Private burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Danvers, MA.
