Lorraine D. Villeneuve

Lorraine D. Villeneuve, 93, of Goffstown, passed away on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, she was the first baby of the 1931 New Year, making her debut on the front page of the Union Leader. She was the daughter of the late Earnest J. & Violette (Taillefer) Villeneuve of Allenstown.

Lorraine was educated and received her high school diploma in the local schools of Allenstown, then spent her adult life living and working in Manchester. She was a hard-working, dedicated employee at Mighty Mac, where she met her life long friend Lucille Platek. She later worked for Jewel Electric and upon retirement, began her most rewarding job as Nana for the Miniutti- Murphy Family, and remained with them as a huge part of their family until her last day. She will be in the hearts of Matt, Cyndi, Rose, Joey & Danny always.

She adored her beautiful dog Sarah, who passed earlier this year, and was indebted to Nancy, Michael & Bovine for giving Sarah a wonderful home and life these last few years. She loved to play cribbage and enjoyed several leagues into her late 80's, taking the end of season most wins more than once. She enjoyed her daily word search, playing games at Miniutti-Murphy family parties and with friends and family that would visit. Lorraine and her sister Pearl shared a passion for the Red Sox and had a lot of fun talking about the games. She was also grateful for the wonderful friends & neighbors that always went above and beyond.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Dormand (Jim), Reginald & sister Pearl Villeneuve, and life long friend Lucille Platek. She leaves behind her daughter Patricia Tremblay and family as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Catholic funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2024, 10:00 am, at St. Lawrence Church, 1 East Union Street, Goffstown, NH. A private grave-side service will be held at a later date at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local animal shelter. The Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolence, or for information please visit www.csnh.com.
