Louise E. Gillis, 87, of North Woodstock/Newmarket died peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2018 surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Haverhill,MA.
She was born in Lincoln, NH on February 11, 1931 to Lillian (Bosworth) and Lewis Blanchard.
Mrs. Gillis enjoyed 53 years of marriage to the late Edward M. Gillis. She was a loving mother to three daughters: B.N. Gillis of Manchester, Marilou (Gillis) Liberti of Newmarket, and Lisa Gillis of Haverhill, MA. She was also a loving grandmother to Peter Edward Liberti and Isabelle Louise Liberti.
Louise worked as a Park Ranger and Administrative Secretary at Saugus Iron Works National Historic Site until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward, her sister Jean Nickerson and her brother Millard Blanchard.
In later years she moved back to North Woodstock, NH, where she enjoyed many years of laughter with her family and large circle of childhood friends, in particular Betty Beaudin, of Lincoln, NH.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln, NH on Saturday, September 15nd, 2018 at 10:00am.
