Louise M. Litwin, 83, of Nashua, New Hampshire died, Wednesday, November 7, 2001, after a lengthy illness, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Mrs. Litwin was born May 2, 1918 in Hartford, Connecticut, daughter of the late Simon and Anna (Kulczinska) Sobol. She was a resident of Middleton and Topsfield, Massachusetts most of her life and also of Intervale, New Hampshire. Mrs. Litwin was the owner and manager of a home gift shop in Middleton and later of the Mountain Valley Motel in Intervale, New Hampshire for many years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Peabody, Massachusetts until its closing and more recently of St. Rose's Catholic Church in Topsfield, Massachusetts. In the two years she lived in Nashua she enjoyed the companionship and many friendships easily made with the residents and staff of the Nashua Crossing assisted care community. Throughout life she especially loved Polish music, cooking, dancing and festivals and walks on Florida beaches. She enjoyed the violin as a young woman and played at her own wedding and also learned to play the organ. She was devoted to and predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Joseph F. Litwin, her son David L. Litwin of Merrimack, Massachusetts and her sisters, Jane Gliniak and Stella Ryduka of Hartford and New Britain, Connecticut. Mrs. Litwin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and June Litwin, and her two grandaughters, Kass and Lauren Litwin, all of Hollis, New Hampshire, her brother-in-law, Stanley Ryduka, of New Britain, Connecticut, her nephews, Joseph and Robert Litwin, both of Peabody, Massachusetts and many friends from the Topsfield and Ipswich, Massachusetts area including her dearest friend, Anna Goot and her extended family.
