Lucette M Lentini, 81, died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on 2/28/2024. Lucette was born on 1/26/1943 in St Ludger, Quebec, the eldest of 6 children to Joseph and Therese Jacques. Joseph started a new career in the granite industry and moved the family to Barre VT in 1947.

She attended Barre Catholic schools and graduated from Marion High School in 1961. During her high school years, she was a cheerleader and a member of the band being the only girl to play the snare drum. 

After high school she was employed with the National Life Insurance Company for 38 1/2 years. She was a Technical Advisor for Billing and Premium Accounting.

On 2/12/1962 she became a naturalized citizen in Burlington District Court and was always a proud American and Patriot.

Lucette married Gary V. Lentini on 8/19/1967 and on 12/20/1971 they welcomed their daughter Roxanne. They divorced in 1983.

As a single parent she took on many jobs to provide for her family. She was a night cashier at Grand Union, and she also bartended at BPOE 1535.

Lucette’s hobbies included bowling. She ranked in the top average at Twin City Lanes, throwing a 16lb bowling ball. She amassed a collection of 67 trophies which she donated to the children’s league. She was also an avid bingo player. She absolutely loved being in her flower garden.

In 2020 she moved to Bethlehem, NH to live with her daughter and son in law, Egidio (Chico). She enjoyed taking care of the animals, helping her daughter with the flowers, and especially watching the hummingbirds.

Lucette is survived by her daughter, Roxanne and her husband, Egidio Costales, grandson, Paul Costales and his wife, Kimberly, and 4 great grandchildren: Michael, Mason, Maya Costales, and Gabe Swift. She is also survived by, Ginette and husband Robert, Suzanne and husband, Al, Charlotte and husband, Kerry, Rocky and wife, Denise, and many nieces and nephews.

Lucette was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Luke J. Jacques.

Per her wishes there will be no formal funeral services. She will be interred in the family plot in Hope Cemetery.
