Lucette (Faucher) Stone, 71, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 7, 2018 at Riverside Rest Home. She was born on September 9, 1946 in Sainte Germaine, P.Q. Canada to the late Josephat and Rolande (Mercier) Faucher.
While a young teenager Lucette moved with her family to Somersworth, NH and later after her 1st marriage, resided in South Berwick, ME. While raising her own family she spent much time with her nieces, nephews and foster children. She was much loved by them for all the kindness she bestowed upon them. They will always remember her as someone who consistently had time to teach and understand them. She loved working with ceramics, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and crafting of any type and held weekly craft nights for the neighbor hood children.
After moving to Portsmouth NH, Lucette met and later married her late husband Robert Stone. She began working in the activities department at Riverside Rest Home and later as a dietary aide at Webster at Rye. All that worked with her enjoyed her sense of humor and kindness.
Lucette leaves behind two children; Her daughter, Monique and her husband Steven Cinfo and her son Steven Vachon and his wife Jennifer; eight grandchildren, Chantal McCrossin, Jeffrey Vachon, Suzanne Vachon, Erika Vachon, Jocelyn Cinfo, Cameron Vachon, Theresa Cinfo and Elizabeth Cinfo, and two great grandchildren. She also leaves behind seven sisters, Rachel Gaudreau, Huguette Oliver, Suzanne Boucher, Dorianne Nippert, Angele Duquette, Laure Pence and Bibianne St-Hilaire and five brothers; Jacques Faucher, Doric Faucher, Denis Faucher, Serge Faucher and Normand Faucher. She is predeceased by her parents Josephat and Rolande (Mercier) Faucher, one sister, Louisette Lemelin and her husband Robert Stone.
SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 23, 11:00 AM at Holy Trinity Church in Somersworth, NH. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Riverside Rest Home Activities Department, 276 County Farm Rd, Dover, NH.
