Lucille Clay

Lucille Clay, 59, of Raymond passed away on July 20 at Elliot Hospital following a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 31, 1957 in Manchester to the late Armand Lesmerises and Lillian (Allard) Lesmerises.

Lucille was raised in Goffstown and graduated from the Pinkerton Academy in 1975. After her graduation, she went on to work at many places, including HadCo, New England Coating, Precision Coating, and Electro Pac. She passed away while on leave from Safeway Training and Transportation. She also volunteered as a committee member for the Boy Scouts and the "Let's Go Fishing" program for the Fish and Game department.

On February 7, 1975 Lucille wed Paul Clay. They were married for 41 years and had two children, Jennifer and Jason. Their family was very tight knit, and Lucille was always a phone call away if anybody ever needed anything. She was a talented, loving, caring woman who always put the needs of others first.
Lucille could do just about anything. She could be found outside assisting Paul with car repairs one minute, and the next she would be found inside at her sewing machine. She loved to stay at home tending to her family and cooking meals for them. She also loved the outdoors, and her family has many cherished memories with her camping, hiking and kayaking in the White Mountains.

She leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Paul, of Raymond, NH; her daughter, Jennifer and her husband Justin, of Raymond, NH; her son, Jason, and his wife Melissa, of Pelham, NH; four grandchildren, Charlotte, Jasmine, Ahri and Alex; 1 brother and 4 sisters; and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize RayTek Services for their understanding and generosity.

Lucille's calm, cool & collected personality and her heart of gold will be missed dearly by all who knew her. There will be a private family only cremation services and a celebration of life will be held at a later time.
