Lucille L. (Lampron) Potvin, 83, died peacefully at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home on Oct. 16, 2018 after losing her courageous battle with cancer.
Lucille, who was known as Lou & Lulu, was born in Manchester NH on April 22, 1935 the daughter of Paul and Irene (Morrissette) Lampron. She was married to Wilfred G. Potvin, Jr. in 1955 and lived in Manchester all her life.
She was a graduate of Manchester School of Accounting in 1955 and was employed as a bookkeeper at Henry's Auto Body in Manchester for 24 years. More recently, she worked part-time at McDowell's Auto Body in Manchester for 10 years. She served as a volunteer at the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and The Cercle National Club. She served on the Board of Directors and volunteered with NH Senior Games.
She enjoyed bowling, ice skating, puzzle-making, movies and watching sports on TV. She liked to take long drives around the area as a past-time. She had a beautiful, joyful smile and was loved by many friends she made throughout her life.
She is survived by her five children, Michael (Therese) Potvin of Goffstown, Susan (Jim) Kuhn of Manchester, Thomas (Barbara) Potvin of Marco Island FL, Denise (Dan) Cere of Bedford and Pete (Lesley) Potvin of Candia; her seven grandchildren, Christopher, Chantal, Matthew, Jacob, Jarrod, Casey and Brandon and her 6 step-grandchildren as well as two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler; her sister Pauline (Bruce) Atkinson of Port Charlotte FL and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Paul Jr. in 1996.
In place of calling hours, the family will be holding a small gathering for friends and family to pay their respects at St. Marie's Church on Friday, October 19th at 9:30 AM. Her life will be celebrated in a Mass of Christian Burial afterwards at 10:00 AM, and a cemetery committal will take place immediately afterwards at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 11:30 AM.
