Lucinda Sue (Norton) Niles, 76, of Concord, NH, known to friends and family as Cindy, passed away early on September 4, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. 

Cindy was born on November 1, 1949, in Indianapolis, IN, to David A Norton and Alberta (Walker) Norton. She grew up in Indianapolis with two sisters and two brothers (one adopted). She graduated from Warren Central High School and from Indiana State University, and earned a masters from Arizona State University. She worked with the Peace Corps in Jamaica, and eventually became a dedicated stay-at-home mother to her two children, raising them in Concord, NH, with her then-husband Darwin Eugene Niles, Jr. She loved to travel, and she adored her grandchildren. 

Cindy was predeceased by her parents and by her adopted brother Rolland Beckham. 

Cindy is survived by her son Andrew Niles, of Kensington, MD; her daughter Katherine Niles, of Manchester, NH; her sister Judy Fox, of Port Hueneme, CA; her sister Gloria Vanderhorst, of Chevy Chase, MD; her brother David Norton, of Yreka, CA; her nephew Steven Sean Fox, of Port Hueneme, CA; her niece Evelyn Lee, of Washington, DC; and her four grandchildren David Niles, Walker Niles, Adam Niles, and Isaac Niles. 

In respect of her wishes, a memorial service will not be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indiana State University.
