On Monday August 20, 2018, loving mother of two, Lynette Ellen (Hanscom) Squibb of Boscawen, NH passed away at the age of 73, with her loved ones by her side. Lynette was born on November 2, 1944 in Portland, ME, to Clara Ellen and Arnold Leroy Hanscom. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1962. She worked at the Clinton, ME Woolen Mill and Pine Tree Diner. On September 2, 1972 she married John Edward Squibb. She was a homemaker and they raised two daughters, Traci and Ellen.
Lynette loved to tend her garden, crochet and spend time with her grandchildren. She was well known for her sense of humor and spent many nights laughing and joking while doing crafts with friends and family. She had a penchant for Judy Garland and Shirley Temple movies and collecting blue glassware. She was a member of the Clinton, ME Extension club, Maine State Grange and the Auxiliary. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Lynette was predeceased by her husband, John Squibb, parents, Arnold Leroy and Clara Ellen Hanscom, and her siblings Sherilyn Madore, Sophie Prentiss, Tilton Hanscom and Richard Hanscom.
Lynette is survived by her two daughters, Ellen White of Maine, Traci and spouse, Chris Ennis of New Hampshire, five grandchildren, Kera Cummings, Markus White, Kayli, Emily and Zachary Ennis, three great grandchildren, Denver Shorey, Parker and Roazalyn Souliere, three brothers; Derril, Laforest and Dale Hanscom, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at the United Methodist Church in Clinton, Maine, on Sunday, August 26, at 1:30 pm. A reception at the church banquet hall will follow.
