Lynn Knight: 1970-2024

Lynn Knight (born Amy Lynn Davidson) died at age 54 on September 21, 2024 in Effingham, New Hampshire. She was born on September 3, 1970 – Labor Day – in Waterbury, Connecticut; her parents were Mary Isabel Knight and William Evans Davidson.

Lynn grew up in Wolcott and Watertown, Connecticut, and graduated from Watertown High School. She attended the University of Connecticut and the University of Washington, where she studied languages. She later moved to Effingham, New Hampshire and studied medical coding. In 2014, she self-published a short novel under the pseudonym A. W. Her book, titled “Ruth’s Fantasy,” is about a middle-aged woman who tries to find hope and to make a difference in the world.

Her pastimes included caring for her cats, gardening, psychology, and designing layouts for her dream house. She was impassioned about issues of social justice and animal welfare, and fiercely protective of nature.

Her family includes two sisters and a brother; a niece and a nephew; and one great-nephew.

Lynn’s happy place was York Beach, Maine. Her ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Maine – so that she returns once more to the sea.
