M. Patricia Jacobson

M. Patricia Jacobson, 68, died of colon cancer at her home in Amherst, New Hampshire on May 22, with loving family in attendance. Patricia was born in Boston to John and Mary (Hawkes) Rosen and was predeceased by her brothers Edward and John and her daughter Kristin. She is survived by her devoted husband Carl R. Jacobson, brother Charles of Massachusetts, son David and his wife Gretchen of Colorado, son Stephen of Massachusetts, daughter Jennifer West and her husband Michael of New Hampshire, and four adoring grandchildren Meghan, Sarah, Georgia, and Samuel as well as by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patricia was generous with her spirit and her energy. While raising her family, she worked as a nurse's aide, touching her patients with her heartfelt attention. A deeply devoted mother and grandmother, she retired so as to provide child care for her young grandchildren. Patricia was also an avid and accomplished quilter and greatly enjoyed world travel. She will be remembered forever for her kind and giving nature. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Chapel, 5 Saint Laurent Street, Nashua, New Hampshire. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Fellowship Hall at the Church.
