Mabel M. Leavy

Mabel M. Leavy, 84, of Rochester, formerly of Chelmsford and Melrose, MA died on October 9, 2001 at Rochester Manor in Rochester, NH. Mrs. Leavy was born on November 27, 1916 in Medford, MA the daughter of the late Samuel and Mabel (Cookson) Spaulding. Mrs. Leavy was involved with the Baptist and Methodist churches as well as in many civic activities. Family members include; one son, Milford H. Leavy Jr. of South Gardiner, Maine; one daughter, Mrs. George (Judith) Haggerty of Biddeford, Maine; two granddaughters, Carolyn Sullivan of Bolton, MA and Lauren Eveland of Naples, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Milton H. T. Leavy in 1988, two brothers, George Spaulding and Edward Spaulding and two sisters, Mary Gardiner and Jennie Taylor. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13th at 11:00 AM at the Central Baptist Church, 9 Academy Street, Chelmsford, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Red Cross.
