Mabel M Mortlock

Mabel Mortlock, of Bedford Falls, Bedford, NH, passed peacefully on October 19, 2024, just shy of her 83rd birthday. She was the daughter of George and Elinor Pelletier. Born in Nashua, NH.

Mabel was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edmund J. Mortlock (Pop), with whom she shared 32 wonderful years. She is also preceded in death by her oldest son, Paul Boucher, her sister, Lillian Brunelle, and her stepdaughter, Silvia Marshall.

She is survived by her sons, John Boucher and his wife Lisa; Thomas Boucher and his wife Dana; Matthew Boucher and his wife Tracy and Daniel Boucher and his wife Christine. Mabel also leaves behind her stepdaughters, Lynda Durmer, Alice Boucher, and Luann Keddy. She will be fondly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Barbara Pelletier, and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and David Jordan. Mabel cherished her many nieces and nephews, holding them dear to her heart.

Mabel's greatest joy came from her family, including her 11 grandchildren and their spouses—Samantha, Jack, Owen, Rachel (Kyle), Laura (Ryne), Mike (Courtney), Anna, Ellie, Jason, Ryan, and Sharon—and her three great-grandchildren, Quinn, Carter, and Ollie. Mabel loved spending time at the beach, especially at Wells Beach, with Pop and her family. She cherished the traditions of large family holiday gatherings and enjoyed attending her children’s and grandchildren’s many sporting events and performances. Her favorite pastimes included following the Red Sox, Patriots, and PGA Tour events, cooking for her family, music, and long talks with friends. Mabel had many friendships from her early school days in Nashua to her workplaces and close neighbors. She cherished all those friendships. After raising her family, she earned her degree from Rivier College, allowing her to expand her career as an executive assistant and office administrator.

The family would like to thank the incredible team of aides and personnel at Bedford Falls for the special care they always afforded Mabel/Mom/Grammy.

Mabel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
