Major F. Leddy, 92, of Manchester, died at Community Hospice House in Merrimack March 19,2021.
Major was born May 21, 1928 in Lowell, MA, to John and Margaret (Kelly) Leddy and he was a graduate of Keith Academy. Major worked his entire career for the US Air Force at Hanscom Field as a service technician. He was parishioner at St. Joseph Cathedral and enjoyed traveling, fishing, making puzzles and spending time with his family. He was married to Luraine (Capistran) Leddy for 30 years.
He is survived by his three step-sons, Stephen Capistran and wife Kathleen of Manchester, Gerard Capistran and wife Diane of Homosassa, FL, and Philip Capistran and wife Leslie of Bedford; six grandchildren, Jennifer Warren and husband Nick of Woodland Park CO, Christopher Capistran and wife Courtney of Alexandria, VA, Amy Capistran of Richmond, VA; Max and Jacob Capistran of Brooklyn, NY, and Sophie Capistran of Bedford; 5 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Justin & Logan Warren and Lauren & Emily Capistran. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, John.
Family and friends are invited to gather Thursday, March 25th 11:00am-noon at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. Funeral service will begin at noon in the funeral home chapel. Due to current restrictions guests are respectfully requested to wear face coverings and observe social distancing guidelines.
